The exchange processing itself takes 2–9 minutes after your deposit transaction receives its first blockchain confirmation. For Bitcoin, that first confirmation typically takes 10–20 minutes depending on how busy the network is and the fee you set when sending.

In total, most BTC → XMR exchanges complete in 15–30 minutes from the time you send. Monero confirmations (10 required before the balance unlocks) add approximately 20 more minutes in your wallet.

Each order is valid for 24 hours from creation. You must send funds to the deposit address within this window. If your transaction was broadcast before the deadline but takes longer than 24 hours to confirm due to network congestion, contact support — such cases are handled individually.

The rate is floating. It updates in real time as the market moves. The rate shown when you create an order is indicative. The final rate applied is the rate at the moment your Bitcoin deposit is confirmed on the blockchain. For most orders (which complete within 15–30 minutes), the difference is minimal.

If you send an amount below the minimum, the order cannot be processed. In this case, your deposit will be refunded to a Bitcoin address you provide, minus the network fee for the return transaction. Contact support with your order ID and the BTC address to return funds to.

No. Each deposit address is tied to a single order. Do not send additional funds to an address from a completed order — they will not be automatically processed and may require manual handling which takes time and may not always be possible.

Yes. Standard addresses (starting with 4), subaddresses (starting with 8), and integrated addresses are all accepted in the recipient field. Using a subaddress is actually recommended, as it provides an extra layer of address separation in your wallet.

No identity verification is required at any transaction size. btcswapxmr.com does not collect ID documents, selfies, or any personally identifying information. Not at sign-up (because there is none), and not at any transaction threshold.

The minimum required to process and track orders: the deposit address, recipient address, amount, and order status. No names, emails, or IP logs tied to user profiles. Orders are stored only as long as needed for support purposes.

For standard use, this is optional. If your threat model includes network-level surveillance (someone logging which sites your IP visits), then yes — using Tor Browser or a VPN when browsing and submitting your order adds a meaningful layer of protection. Monero itself handles the blockchain privacy; Tor/VPN handles the network privacy.

This is normal Monero behavior. XMR requires 10 confirmations before it becomes spendable ("unlocked"). At approximately 2 minutes per block, this takes about 20 minutes. Your wallet should show the incoming transaction as "pending" during this time. It is not a problem with the exchange — it is a standard Monero protocol rule applied by every wallet.
